It's great. Bladesinger is really fun for experienced players, and very torturous otherwise. For me? EK. I love EK. But I'm looking at a 16 Wiz (bladesinger) / 4 Ftr (EK) for the home campaign I'm in if it gets that far.

Elven Bladesinger (L20 Fighter/Wizard) In the Forgotten Realms setting, the Bladesinger combines quick melee attacks with magic. Armed with a Moonblade, their fighting prowess is unparalleled. Due to the nature of DDO, this can be considered a hard build to play.

Rapier: The Bladesinger Wizard's go-to weapon. Scimitar: Tempting for the Bladesinger if you want to explore Two-Weapon Fighting, but you can't perform Somatic components with a weapon in your hand so you can't cast Shield if you're using two scimitars. You'll need War Caster to overcome that limitation, and even if you go that route remember EK attacks with both attacks available.

EK is great, especially as a warlock multiclass (agonizing blast + bonus action weapon attack is fantastic) but because you're already level 6, the real goodies from EK wouldn't be for a while, whereas bladesinger pays out pretty much immediately with bladesong. Wizard: Bladesinging Bladesingers master a tradition of wizardry that incorporates swordplay and dance. Originally created by elves, this tradition has been adopted by non-elf practitioners, who honor and expand on the elven ways. The Bladesinger are a group of elegant elf wizards, embracing close fights and grouped by combat style. Unless EK gets it now. Basically you are wanting a bladesinger type class. Keep in mind, bladesinger is just a prestige class. The spirit of it, is that you cast your wizardly spells, in medium armor, no shield using only a rapier or longsword, not dual wielding.
